Portland's Eastside: Easy to Get to, Lots to Do

Portland is a vibrant, exciting and dynamic city...easy to get to, easy to get around in and offering almost unlimited choices for food, lodging, entertainment, shopping and recreation...all within the budgets of individuals and families.

 

By air, the gateway to the city is Portland International Airport in the heart of east Portland. Car rentals as well as direct and convenient light rail service offer visitors quick access to East Portland and its gateway to the Columbia Gorge and Mt. Hood, as well as to the city center and on west to the Oregon Coast.

 

The freeways and public transit system throughout Portland's eastside offer ready access to many choices for lodging, restaurants, shopping. entertainment, museums, recreation, sight-seeing, as well as places of worship. 

East Portland: Gateway to Adventure

For visitors who also want to spend time exploring other parts of Oregon and Washington, East Portland is the ideal place to set up a "home base." With its many choices in lodging, restaurants and other services, East Portland offers a quick getaway to the ski slopes, hiking, fishing, hunting, wine touring, beach combing, sight-seeing and simply enjoying the natural beauty and open spaces of the Pacific Northwest.
