EPCC Poker Run Showdown A Great Success!
This fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life ~ began on the very first day of April, and throughout the month chamber “Players” visited 5 chamber “Dealers” in hopes of drawing a cumulative winning hand.
Paying just $5 to participate and with the possibility of winning ½ of the “Pot”, entry fees resulted in $150.00 being split between our “Poker Run Card Sharp” and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
This was a wonderful way to participate in an EPCC adventure, and get to know more about 5 of our chamber business members – what a great opportunity!
Our great appreciation goes to our member sponsors who served as “Dealers”:
- Adventist Health JobCare
- Classique Floors
- Courtyard Marriott
- Edible Arrangement
- Westside Secretarial Service

And as for our “Card Sharp?” After visiting our five Dealers, the best hand dealt on May 5th at our Good Morning East Portland was held by Priscilla Hulin, Courtyard Marriott, Portland Airport. Congratulations Priscilla!
So folks, stay tuned, as later on in the future, we just may again “Shuffle Up and Deal”!

East Portland Chamber Visitor Center
The East Portland Chamber of Commerce recently received a small grant from APNBA to establish a visitor center. The new center will be located at the East Portland Chamber office: 1333 NE MLK Jr. BLVD., Portland OR 97232. As part of this grant, the Chamber has purchased brochure racks to provide visitors to Portland with easy access to information about Chamber member businesses.
If you would like your information to be displayed in the new visitor center, please send your brochures to the Chamber office or bring them to Teeneke Barresi at any AM Networking Meeting.
