Meet the five candidates running for District 5 as they share why they are best suited for the role in District 5's Commission office:

Mary Nolan, who previously served six terms representing Northwest Portland in the Oregon State Legislature between 2001 and 2013.

Karen Spencer, a founding team member and COO of Searchfunder.com, the world's first technology platform for search fund entrepreneurs and investors.

Cameron Whitten, a citizen journalist and active social media user in the Pacific Northwest; Founder and Principal of Streams of Resistance LLC. 

Mary Peveto, Founder and Executive Director of Neighbors for Clean Air, who pushed for legislation to reduce diesel pollution statewide.

Christopher Smith, recently retired from Xerox, who served on the TPAC and MPAC committees at Metro, served on the Planning and Sustainability Commission for over a decade.
