What Can We Expect for our Economy in 2021?

Christian Kaylor, Workforce Economist for the Oregon Employment Department, will talk on the economic issues facing Portland and Oregon. He gives his analysis, comparing Portland with cities throughout the country. Members have found his insights to be very informative. It will be interesting to get his insights to what the impact will be from the COVID-19 pandemic and the protests this last year. He provides data analysis and advice relating to the Portland economy to local businesses, business associations and government agencies to facilitate intelligent decision making on a daily basis. Before coming to the Employment Department eighteen years ago, Christian worked in various positions in Oregon politics and policy. He has served as Legislative Assistant to the Oregon Senate Minority Whip and Campaign Manager for the Oregon House Minority Leader. A native Oregonian, Christian has a degree in Economics from the University of Oregon.
