GEAC: Voter Education, Rank Choice Voting

On Second Wednesdays, our Government and Economic Affairs Committee (GEAC) hosts the meeting and brings important presentations to the table. We'd also like to extend a thank you to Morningstar at Laurelhurst for allowing us to use their meeting room each month!

At this meeting, we will hear information about Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) for City of Portland and Multnomah County candidate contests. Ranked choice voting allows voters to rank up to 6 candidates in order of preference instead of choosing only one candidate. In the November 3, 2026 General Election, the following contests will use ranked choice voting for 2 positions. Join us on Sept 9 to learn more!
